Rewarding Traitors and Militants

Much is made about Pakistan’s refusal to take ‘Bihari’ Muslims stranded in Bangladesh. These ‘Biharis’ acted as hatchet men for Pakistan in their genocide campaign there. Still, ingrate Pakistan refuses to accept them.

But the same charge can be levied against successive Indian Governments who refuse to grant citizenship rights to thousands of Hindu refugees stranded in Jammu thrown out by Pakistan. There is the Revenue Minister in Farooq Abdullah Ministry in Kashmir, Abdul Ahad Vakil, typical in his attitude towards these hapless people. He says that there are legal, political and constitutional problems involved. But the same man sees no difficulty in not only accepting but even inviting all the Muslim terrorists who fled to Pakistan, or were trained in terrorist camps in Pakistan, to Kashmir with full rights and privileges for proper rehabilitation with Government (Indian taxpayers’) money. And come to think of it, Farooq has the audacity to declare that he will not allow the Muslim majority of Jammu and Kashmir to be diluted. Do the Chief Ministers think in these terms and follow this kind of communal policy? Does this not say enough about the so-called secular Abdullah and his supporters in the United Front and the Congress? In fact, the Abdullahs have never been real secular, they were and are stark communal Muslims. And Indira Gandhi had given back Kashmir to Farooq’s father, the late Shaikh Abdullah, after releasing him from house arrest where he was confined for some years on charges of anti-India activities abroad.

As a result of this faulty and condemnable policy, none of the children of the refugee Hindus there are eligible for professional colleges, Government jobs and other facilities whereas Islamic militants are given red carpet treatment and the ‘secular’ Governments vie with each other to pay even for their Kalashnikov rifles and ammunition. And when these terrorists resort to armed militancy making politicians irrelevant, the Farooq Abdullahs, Abdul Ahad Vakils and others have nothing to worry because they can always run to safety to live among Jammu Hindus until the terrorist campaign is subdued by children of Hindus serving as soldiers in Indian Army.

‘Secular’ India is perhaps the only country where treason is rewarded and patriotism is punished. Otherwise Abdul Ahads, Dawood Ibrahims and the like would have been dead long time back. Instead, they all enjoy perks of office or official patronage despite their bloody deeds and sympathies and work on behalf of India’s enemies. And patriots like Ajit Singh Sandhu, the police officer in Tarn Taran who took his own life when hounded by ‘secular’ outfits and ‘human rights activists,’ would have been very much alive and decorated.
